12 Reasons to have a Healing Touch Circle/Practice Group
Karen Stewart, HTI-P, Angela Mattos, CHTP & Sharon Yetman
Local circles/practice groups can offer many blessings and develop in ways that are unique to each community.
Knowing that many individuals already have full lives and are not eager to take on more responsibility, consider what would motivate you or others to become involved and how you could be of service. (When a circle/practice group focuses on things that are of value to group members there is an eagerness to participate.)
Developing a tradition of shared, rotating leadership means no one individual is over extended. Participation can be viewed as part of one’s healing practice and service to the community. With these intentions as the foundation, the group can joyfully share the responsibilities and benefits of offering ongoing practice opportunities.
12 Reasons to have a Healing Touch Circle
- To review techniques in a light-hearted environment
- As part of ongoing self-care
- To learn something new with an emphasis on HT techniques, principles and values
- To deepen our practices with joy
- To encourage one another
- To share experiences
- To be of service to the community of HTer's
- To be of service to the people we are treating
- To mentor others and provide spiritual companionship
- To be reflective, in a gentle, supportive way
- To move from "doing" to 'being' a vessel of love
- To belong to an engaged, playful healing community
We hope that you will consider this model and find others in your vicinity to build community with! Connect with what first brought you to Healing Touch and why it is important to you.
